‘Tis the season for a Payday Holiday Update. We have something very special for you this time. It’s a LEECH!… wait, wait, wait. Please read on. I promise it’s great. For the first time in what may seem like forever, we are releasing a new perk deck, completely free. We also have a cool new Tailor Pack themed around snow and winter. To finalize the update, we also have fun temporary holiday additions to the game, both something new and the content from the previous year’s event makes an appearance for the celebrations. Last but not least, even Hoxton has something up his sleeve for all you heisters out there.

It’s the winter holidays and that means it’s time to grab some of that bonus Holiday EXP. Starting now until January the 12th you can play the special holiday versions of Breakin’ Feds, Hoxton Breakout, and Buluc’s Mansion. While playing these or Stealing Xmas, White Xmas, GO Bank, or Santa’s Workshop you’ll get an additional 15% EXP.

On all the above-mentioned heists you’ll find that all Cloakers and Bulldozers will be wearing Santa hats. Because nothing says festivities as much as being shot in the face by Santa Claus.

That is not all, during this time you’ll have access to a fearsome piece of weaponry, whose devastating power is feared on playgrounds around the globe. From today until January the 12th you can equip the Snowball throwables. Is it rocks inside? Is it left in the freezer to harden up? That is for you to know and the cops to find out.

We also released a new winter-themed Tailor Pack. With masks suitable both for the good and naughty heisters. Who do you want to be this festive season? A frozen skull of death to all those that dare oppose you. A Leshy, the spirit of the wild untamed woods. Or are you more of a deer that strides over the snow-covered lands? Perhaps you are the kind of heister whose head can only be decorated with a fox, nothing magic or fantastical but a regular fox, like your an alternative reality version of David Crockett.

Bug Fixes

General

• Added an event music override button to the option menu.
• Added outfits as a tag for achievement filtering under inventory requirements.
• Added weapon charms as a tag for achievement filtering under unlocks.
• Fixed an issue where the same string was used for the Infamy menu and the join stinger menu.

Performance

• Fixed a crash related to shield units that fire their gun as they die and after having dropped their shield.
• Improved performance when checking for equipped weapons in relation to damage dealt.

Visuals

• Updated the light in the main menu.
• Fixed a visual issue with the outline on the Boardroom Havoc outfit.
• Fixed a visual issue on various heists where secured loot bags would have a yellow outline.
• Fixed an issue where a selected throwable would revert back to the selected perk deck items upon starting the game.
• Fixed a small graphical issue on the Improved Combined Tactical Vest when equipped by Ethan.

Infamy 3.3

We are releasing the long-awaited Infamy 100 rewards, a full heisting set up for those that are mad enough to take on this incredible feat of crime. These are the ones that are worthy of this full set of absolute terror to every cop around.

Strap into the “Boardroom Havoc” suit with the “Vile Carny” mask to cover your face. Hang the “Red Drop” weapon charm from your gun painted in the “Chromatic Break” weapon color. And finish the look with the “Digital Pistons” gloves, now you are ready for whatever heat is around the corner.

As you make your way to Infamy rank 100 there are also new rewards to unlock on your path up the ranks. Three weapon charms “Handy Blunderbuss”, “Ben’s Toast”, and “Ancient Peak” have been added to the ranks 44, 54, and 64 respectively. There are also four weapon colors “Dead Rust”, “Splintered”, “Liquid Geode”, and “Line Phased” which have been added to ranks 33, 43, 53, and 63 respectively. If you already passed the associated levels you have access to the rewards right away.

Starbreeze Account

We have launched our new Player Services Platform – Starbreeze Accounts. To create an account, go into the options menu in the game and click the “Link Starbreeze Account” button. You can also create an account by going to accounts.starbreeze.com. Linking your account will also unlock additional items in PAYDAY 2.

Creating a Starbreeze Account is completely optional.

By linking your Starbreeze Account to your Steam account you will unlock the “Discerning Dandy” suit, “Frayed Harvest” mask, “Spike & Bone” weapon charm and the “Frequency” weapon color to kit out your heister. Creating the account will unlock more cool rewards in the future, together with other features that will improve your experience with Starbreeze games.

• Fixed a visual issue with an NPC on the Black Cat heist that used a female model instead of a male one.

In the previous heist in the City of Gold campaign, we rescued Vlad from the clutches of the Golden Dagger Triad, and now it’s payback time. In the Black Cat Heist, Vlad and the gang are gonna hit them where it hurts. A large casino onboard the Black Cat, a luxurious cruise ship full of society’s highest and lowest.

Vlad knows his tormentor from the docks is aboard and so is a large amount of the Triad’s funds. He has sent you and the gang to infiltrate the ship and send a message to the Triad.

What more can you ask for than this great set of Hi-Tech masks and cool-looking suits and gloves?
In the Mega City Tailor Pack, we got four awesome-looking robotic masks with a bit of inspiration from martial arts. Each mask has its own color scheme with its own color variant among the gloves and the suits. Triple down on your favorite color or mix and match among them all. What style will you pick?
