Forspoken Bugs, Known Issues, Glitch & Workaround

Forspoken, the highly-anticipated game, is now available for download on PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam) only. Recently, a major update was added to improve the overall player experience with the quality of life improvements. However, some players have reported various issues such as stuttering, crashes, and glitches. To address these issues, we have published a list of known Forspoken bugs, glitches, and issues on our website. Forspoken Known Issues, Bugs, and Fixes – January 24, 2023

Forspoken Launch Error or Won’t start properly

Please make sure that your game files are not damaged. This can be done on PC(Steam), please right-click on the game in your library and then click on properties -> local files -> verify.

1. Open Steam parameters (Steam > Parameters)
2. Select the tab “Downloads”
3. Click on the button “Clear download cache”

Also, disable the Antivirus and run the game.

Workaround: Running Game As Administrator

To run the game as Administrator.

1. Right-click Forspoken in your Steam Library.
2. Go to Properties then the Local Files tab.
3. Click Browse Local Files.
4. Locate the game executable (the application).
5. Right-click it and go to Properties.
6. Click the Compatibility tab.
7. Check the Run this program as an administrator box.
8. Click Apply.

Forspoken File Was Broken Error

Players are reporting broken Forspoken file issues. The game devs are aware of this issue. A fix will be rollout soon.

Forspoken crash after startup/launch

• There is a bug where the game crashes shortly after startup on PC. The fix will be available soon.

Video Memory Crash

Players are reporting Forspoken PC crashes with the warning.

Workaround: Try the following and restart your computer afterward:

How to change page file size

1. Press the Windows key on your keyboard
2. type sysdm.cpl and press enter.
3. Go to the Advanced tab and press Settings under the Performance section.
4. Press the Advanced tab in the Performance Options window.
5. Under Virtual memory, press Change.
6. Tick the box for Automatically manage paging file size for all drives.

Forspoken PC Stuttering/ FPS Drop/ Graphics issues

Please make sure that you are in the range of official recommended system specs. The next step will be to check if your drivers are up to date.

Update or repair Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2017

• Download it from here (or use this mirror link if the first link is broken)
• Run ‘vc_redist.x64.exe’

Update or repair Microsoft DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010)

• Download it from here

If you’re using a laptop, check if the game runs on the graphic card and not the integrated graphic chipset of the processor

• Download NVIDIA Graphic Drivers

You also need to make sure to have Spatial Sound or Windows Sonic off.

Compatibility issues

• Players experience issues with the game running on certain hardware or software configurations.
