Balance Changes

STA-1

• The top engine’s power-to-weight ratio was increased from 16.76 to 17.5 hp/t.
• Top speed was increased from 45 to 50 km/h.

T54E1

• Magazine reload time was decreased from 17 to 16.5 s.
• The top engine’s power-to-weight ratio was increased from 14.88 to 15.25 hp/t.
• Top speed was decreased from 50 to 45 km/h.
• The top gun’s dispersion at 100 m was increased from 0.35 to 0.36 m.
• Changes to armor:
  • From 110 to 127 mm for the upper glacis plate of the hull.
  • From 108/88.9/50.8/127 to 118/96/70.8/167 mm for the turret collar front.
  • From 127/127/63.5 to 147/147/72.5 for the oscillating turret front.
  • From 127 to 237 mm for the gun’s mantlet.
  • From 127 to 107 mm for the commander’s hatch.

40TP Habicha

• For the top gun, reload time was increased from 8 to 9 s and dispersion at 100 m was increased from 0.38 to 0.39 m.

FCM 50 t

• Reload time was decreased from 7.2 to 6.5 s.
• Dispersion at 100 m was decreased from 0.36 to 0.35 m.

• The T-34/100, Škoda T 25, Object 252U with its Vigilant Legendary camo, as well as the American Eagle attachment were updated to the new graphics quality.
• A progress bar towards receiving a tank will now be shown when tapping the Charm icon or part of the certificate for a tank icon in the Storage.
• Clan supply discounts on tanks will no longer be displayed in the Tech Tree. Instead, you can check the discount on the screen of the selected tank.
• Various screens, descriptions, and notifications were improved.
• General bugs and client crashes were fixed.

WOT Blitz Update 8.9 Patch Notes – March 23, 2022

Free Camouflage Resupply

With the release of Update 8.9, you’ll be able to resupply all camos for free. Changes will affect 75 camos that, until now, were resupplied after each battle using credits.

Throughout Update 8.9, a 70% discount will be available on these 75 camos.

Supplies for the VK 72.01 (K) Branch

The Tier VII–X tanks of the VK 72.01 (K) branch will receive Tungsten Rounds as consumables, as well as Improved Gunpowder, Sandbag Armor, and Enhanced Sandbag Armor as provisions. This will add some diversity to their standard gameplay while also making them less similar to vehicles from the E 100 branch.

Battle Results Improvement

The detailed statistics can now be accessed from each of the three screens at the tap of a special button. There will be more improvements in future updates.

Legendary Camos

The dark Noir for the Bat.-Châtillon Bourrasque, the severe Krzemień for the 60TP Lewandowskiego, the inspiring Thunderbird for the Concept 1B, and the netherworldly Monster for the E 50 Ausf. M are now available in the camo selection menu.

Owners of the Škoda T 56 will soon receive an offer to purchase a new Legendary camo—the fabled Golem.

Improvements and Fixed Bugs

• The TVP TVU, Škoda T 50, and TVP T 50/51 (including its Instigator Legendary camo) received better graphics.
• Level 10 avatars for winning Rating Battles were introduced. The avatars of Platinum and Diamond Leagues are animated.
• Item groups were added to the Store. Similar bundles will now be included in one slider.
• Tankenstein: The bug where the crew could receive critical damage was fixed.
• The bug where the “Damage blocked” ribbon was displayed upon firing at a destroyed tank was fixed.
• The “Recover password” button and the button navigating to your account can now be found in Settings → General → Account Management.
• Various screens, descriptions, and notifications were improved.
• General bugs and client crashes were fixed.

WOT Blitz Update 8.8 Patch Notes – February 16, 2021

Let’s Go to the Netherlands

This map will feature battles fought in the streets of a beautiful town, in an idyllic village, and amid lavender fields and windmills.

Updated Battle Results

The time has come to adjust the display of battle results. Cutting to the chase, they now look awesome and more informative! There are three screens, each of them showing your tank at its finest, along with detailed personal, economic, and team results.

Hints for Additional Mechanics

There are already many special tank mechanics in the game. And even more will be available as time goes on. To make it clear how they work, we’re going to add hints to the Brief Characteristics menu. The new update will introduce hints for Tracer Shells (T-100 LT and Object 84) and Dynamic Armor (Titan H-N). We will gradually add info for other additional mechanics as well.

XP Multiplier Timer Reset

Users of iOS and Android mobile devices will be able to reset the timer of the XP multiplier for the first victory (x2 timer). The refresh timer and the watching ads button will appear near the Battle! button. Watch an ad and the x2 XP multiplier will refresh. It’s a great way to research your dream tank faster!

Camouflage Rotation

The drop-dead gorgeous Galaxy and Shattered Flames camos were added to the camo selection menu. The Grandma’s Gift, Starlight Night, and Evergreen camos will no longer be available for purchase.

Improvements and Fixed Bugs

• The Bat.-Chatillon 25 t and its Musketeer camo, the ISU-152 and its Hunter camo, and the Cruiser II received better graphics.
• An animation for receiving XP after a battle in a researchable tank was added. It shows your progress towards the next module.
• The structure of the Soviet Tech Tree was improved.
• The bug where the price under upgrade options was displayed in Elite XP (not in credits or gold) on the screen for accelerating crew skill training was fixed.
• The bug where the sound of burning may have been missing after the tank was destroyed was fixed.

New Bay is covered in snow, and its central square is decorated with a Christmas tree and lights! A Garage like this definitely sets the festive mood before battle.

The following camos will become available in the Camouflage menu: the rough Rotkopf for the VK 72.01 (K), the stormy Typhoon for the WZ-121, the bright Overkill for the FV4005, the wild Safari for the FV4202, the biting Piranha for the T95E6, and the splendid Corsica for the AMX 30 B.

Owners of the 60TP Lewandowskiego will soon receive an offer to buy the Krzemień camo. Brutality and belligerence will pave a path to legendary victories!

The price of training for Regimental School (up to 75%) or Tank Academy (up to 100%) used to be fixed and didn’t depend on your level of mastery. Now it decreases as your crew mastery grows. The less left until 75%, the cheaper the training for credits. The less left until 100%, the cheaper the training for gold.

These discounts are combined with other temporary discounts for crew training.

It’s time to make changes to the way the matchmaker selects vehicles for battles. Light and medium tanks used to have different values in the matchmaker. So there were rarely cases when teams were unequal. As the way to play medium and light tanks is more similar, the matchmaker will consider them to be the same type. This means it will strive to make the ratio of light and medium tanks, as well as other vehicles, the same for both teams.

Now it’s easier to monitor your tank’s key parameter! The indicator became bigger, its color changes from green to red, and the amount of HP lost is displayed with a visual effect. When penetrated, the indicator blinks.

• Updated graphics were introduced for the FV215b (183) and its Hammer camouflage, the Progetto 46 and its Reborn camouflage, and the T26.
• Now the Spear ‘n Sear attachment shoots a stream of fire not only before battle, but also after destroying an enemy.
• The bug when the XP of an inactive player displayed in battle results was fixed. Now both allies and enemies will see “0” in the XP section of the team’s battle results.
• Various screens, descriptions, and notifications were improved.

WOT Blitz Update 8.5 Patch Notes – November 17, 2021

The crews of Italian, Czechoslovakian, Polish, and Finnish vehicles will now speak their native languages. To enjoy the international diversity, enable the “National Crew Voice” option (Settings → Other).

In addition, following the Pz. IV Ankou SP, all other tanks from the Girls und Panzer anime series universe, such as the Tiger Kuromorimine SP, Hetzer Kame SP, IS-2 Pravda SP, and Firefly Saunders SP, will also receive original Japanese crew voiceovers.

Great gameplay must be rewarded. Starting from Update 8.5, Ace Tanker mastery badges, Top Gun achievements, and Kolobanov’s Medals earned in regular and rating battles in Tier VI–X vehicles will bring you additional credits.

We keep refining the credit economy to make vehicle research and credit farming more balanced.

Extensive balance changes were made to Tier VI–VIII tanks.

Update 8.5 will introduce animated avatars! They’ll add more fun to the game, and will be displayed in the Garage and battle results, as well as on the battle loading, reward, and event screens… Basically, everywhere, except for the team list in battle. Very soon, you’ll be able to get the first of these avatars, Overkill, as part of bundles in the Store.

Owners of this medium tank will soon receive an offer to purchase the terrifying, yet captivating, Monster camo.

The Oxidized Metal, Hardy, and Digital Forest Rare camos, as well as the Carapace Legendary camo for the Turtle Mk.1 and the Graywolf Legendary camo for the Object 263, are now available in the Camouflage tab.

The Spooky Web, Pumpkin Mayhem, Pumpkin Spice, Scary Swarm, and Spidertrap camos will no longer be available for purchase.

• The Pz. II, T-54 ltwt, as well as the Chimera with its Phantom Legendary camo were updated to the new visual quality.
• The line of accumulative avatars for rating battles was extended. Now, each league has 9 levels.
• Slots can now be purchased in the Store instead of the Garage.
• The Hit Points parameter was added to the Brief Characteristics menu. The minimum and maximum values on the scale correspond to the lowest and highest HP in the game: the lowest value of 270 HP for the Type 95 Ha-Go and the highest value of 2,850 HP for the Maus.
• The bug where the consumable use time displayed above the tank was refreshed upon enabling/disabling another consumable, was fixed.
• Areas where vehicles became stuck were fixed, and some models of buildings and objects were adjusted for some maps.

Economy Lesson

We’re continuing to refine the credit economy. This time, the changes will affect researchable Tier I–VI vehicles. Previously, the number of battles required to accumulate credits and research each subsequent tank could vary quite widely depending on the branch. To balance out this uneven profitability, starting from Update 8.4, some tanks will earn a little more, while others will earn a little less. These changes won’t apply to Premium vehicles.

Holiday Camos and New Arrivals

Halloween is coming! While we “probably” won’t go from Garage to Garage asking for consumables, it would be nice to dress up for this fun-filled occasion. Spooky Web, Pumpkin Mayhem, Pumpkin Spice, Scary Swarm, and Spidertrap are available again in the Camouflage tab.

• The T57 Heavy with its Tireless Legendary camo, the EMIL 1951 with its Viking Legendary camo, and the M2 Light received improved graphics.
• It will now be possible to preview camos on the selected vehicles right from your Storage.

The Pride Legendary camouflage for the M-VI-Yoh will be available in the Camo section. The stars and stripes on the front armor and the eagle on the turret have witnessed hundreds of glorious battles.

Now each researchable Tier X vehicle has its own Legendary camo! The owners of four highly popular vehicles will soon be able to purchase them: the striking Overkill for the FV4005, the wild Safari for the FV4202, the strict Rotkopf for the VK 72.01 (K), and the stormy Typhoon for the WZ-121.

• Balance Changes WZ-120 : The depression angle of the top gun was increased from 3 to 5 deg.

WOT Blitz Update 8.1 Patch Notes

We tried to eliminate situations when red zones are penetrated and grey ones aren’t. Now armor highlighting will be more precise for many tanks. For example, the probability of penetration will display better in situations when armor is at an angle to the aiming point, when there are two layers of armor, or if a shell can punch right through armor.

We reworked the content system of bonus containers (daily, weekly, and three-day containers).

Newcomers will now get more resources like credits, Credit boosters, and Combat XP boosters from these containers to accelerate their game progress. For skilled commanders, there will be Gold and Cooldown boosters. The higher the vehicle tier, the more valuable the content.

If one player destroys a tank that was previously damaged more than 51% by another player, both of them will receive a new notification type. It will show not only the name of the fighter who destroyed the tank, but also the name of the player who assisted.

In the new update, the parameters of many Tier VII vehicles were adjusted. The changes seek to ensure that tanks of this tier and of the same type have comparable performance and can better play their battle role.

In addition, the characteristics of Tier VII–X Collector and Premium vehicles were improved. For example, the FV217 Badger tank destroyer is now faster and more accurate.

Partial support of popular gamepad models for Android is back. Also, all supported platforms now feature sensibility and inversion settings.

The following main control options are set as default:
• Android/iOS: “Touch”
• Windows 10: “Keyboard and Mouse” (displays as permanently disabled for mobile devices)

When connecting the gamepad, the “Gamepad” control type will be displayed in settings. You’ll need to choose it only once. For future instances, it will be enabled automatically.

The “Same Control Mode” will no longer be available for PC. However, it will be preserved for touch devices. This change will essentially decrease the queue time for PC players.

If your Storage is overflowing with camos, there’s a solution: Some of them can now be exchanged for Splinters. Splinters can be exchanged for a Camo Container that will always be available in the Store.

This Container features different types of camouflage including standard and animated, with free resupply, and for any vehicle tier. The contents will change from time to time.

• The Vickers Light, Vickers CR, and FV301 were updated to the new visual quality.
• Missions for new players were reworked.
• The Mines map was removed from rotation for Tier VII–X Rating battles.
• Object 252U: Spare parts kits are now identified as spaced armor.
• The bug where the sinking tank timer was displayed incorrectly in replays was fixed.
• Issues with volume when loading the game and playing the sound of moving tracks were fixed.
• Various screens, descriptions, and notifications were improved.
• General bugs and client crashes were fixed.
